German Federal Police border enforcement

Overview

German Federal Police have conducted various enforcement actions during border controls on major motorways.

In late August, authorities at the Waidhaus border on the A6 motorway denied entry to two individuals traveling from the Czech Republic. One Tunisian national was denied entry due to an expired residence permit and was scheduled for deportation, while a Vietnamese citizen was also refused entry.

By late September, police operations on the A93 motorway near Kiefersfelden resulted in the seizure of several weapons. Confiscated items included knives, a dagger, and a telescopic baton found in vehicles occupied by Romanian, Italian, Serbian, Ukrainian, and Polish nationals. Legal proceedings have been initiated against those involved in weapons law violations.
