Ghanaian players transfer to Turkish Super Lig

Overview

Ghanaian international players have joined Turkish Super Lig clubs. Initially, midfielder Elisha Owusu was reported to be transferring from French club AJ Auxerre to Erzurumspor FK for a fee of approximately €1 million.

Following this, it was confirmed that both Owusu and left-back Richard Akonnor have completed moves to the Turkish league. While Owusu joined Erzurumspor FK from AJ Auxerre, Akonnor joined Goztepe on loan from Al-Jazira through June 2027.
