Gjakova attempted murder and shooting incident

Overview

On August 10, a violent dispute on ‘Dëshmorët e Hereçit’ street in Gjakova escalated into a shooting. Prosecutors allege that one suspect, H. D., used a pistol to fire multiple shots at a victim, striking him in the upper left leg. The victim received treatment at the ‘Isa Grezda’ Regional Hospital.

Following the incident, the Gjakova Basic Court approved one-month pre-trial detention for three suspects. H. D. faces charges of attempted murder and illegal possession of a firearm, while two others, A. D. and E. G., are charged with participation in a fight. A minor was also involved in the incident and is subject to separate legal procedures.
