Global Alliance Two-State Solution meetings

In late July 2026 the Global Alliance for a Two‑State Solution convened a series of technical sessions at Italy’s Foreign Ministry in Rome. Co‑presided by Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani and Saudi Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, the meetings involved around 30 delegations and remote participants from the United States, the United Nations and the Palestinian Authority. Delegates reviewed progress on the New York Declaration, examined the implementation of UN Security Council resolution 2803 and explored new synergies for the peace process.

Later that day the alliance held its 10th summit in Rome, with Saudi Arabia acting as co‑chair alongside Norway and the European Union. Saudi chief negotiator Dr. Manal bint Hassan Ridwan referenced the New York Declaration, resolution 2803 and the Trump peace plan, warning that the widening gap between diplomatic efforts and conditions on the ground – including the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, settlement expansion and settler violence – threatened stability. The summit produced a joint statement reaffirming support for a cease‑fire, unhindered humanitarian aid and opposition to annexation or forced displacement in the West Bank, and pledged continued cooperation with the United States, Italy and other alliance members.
