Global architectural and design highlights
Overview
Recent reports highlight diverse residential and furniture design projects across several regions. In Prague, a 1990s villa previously characterized by an ostentatious “entrepreneurial baroque” style has been renovated into a Scandinavian inspired family residence. In California, a prefabricated, UFO shaped Donaldson Futuro house is being offered for sale.
Other notable residential developments include the Cloud House in London, which features pastel pink finishes and arches inspired by Art Deco architecture. Additional projects include the Wardrobe House in the Czech Republic, a minimalist villa in Ibiza, and a house overlooking Lake Zurich. The design sector also features new furniture pieces, such as a sculptural coffee table by Studio Hagen Hall and an aluminum vase by Flora Lechner.
