The IMF is working with Senegalese authorities on an economic reform program, supported by a potential $2.2 billion Extended Credit Facility, to restore fiscal viability through measures such as reducing or removing these subsidies.

Regional price adjustments persist: in Morocco, diesel prices rose by 0.06 dirhams per liter, while in Mayotte, significant increases have been reported across all regulated petroleum products, including diesel and cooking gas. In Côte d'Ivoire, while fuel prices saw upward adjustments in August, the government also announced that the guaranteed purchase price for cocoa will remain at 1,200 FCFA per kilogram for the 2026/2027 campaign to maintain financial sustainability.
