GoPro Mission 1 series product updates

Overview

GoPro has introduced several updates and accessories for its Mission 1 and Mission 1 PRO camera series.

In mid-October, the company released a free firmware update that enables continuous shooting capabilities. This update allows users to capture large sequences of 12 MP or 50 MP RAW photos by queuing images for processing after the shutter is released. The update also included enhancements to the MISSION Monitor live-preview app and support for various anamorphic lens squeeze ratios via the GoPro Labs beta program.

Later in the month, GoPro announced a collaboration with PolarPro to release close-up diopter filters. These optical-grade glass filters are designed to slide over the camera lens to provide a closer focus range and shallower depth of field. The product line includes single +0.5 diopter filters or a three-piece set containing +0.5, +1, and +2 diopters.
