Graphic arts and photography festivals in Catalonia

Overview

In October 2026, several graphic arts and photography festivals are scheduled to take place across Catalonia.

The 13th SCAN International Photography Festival in Tarragona is set to run from October 16 to November 29. Centered at the Moll de la Costa, the event explores contemporary transformations and the metamorphosis of photography. It features the ‘Talent Latent’ exhibition, showcasing ten artists selected from over 1,000 submissions, and the ‘Alienations’ exhibition, which examines structures of oppression.

Other regional events include the 4th Patac Festival de Gràfica Efervescent in Lleida from October 22 to 25, which promotes independent editorial projects through exhibitions and workshops. Additionally, the 5th Tarragona Illustration Fest (TIF) will be held at the Castell de Vila-seca from October 15 to 18, using ‘the nude’ as a theme to explore the creation of comics, fanzines, and illustrated albums.
