Great Wall Motor technical and safety milestones
Overview
Great Wall Motor (GWM) has highlighted its technical capabilities through fuel efficiency testing and safety milestones.
In the Philippines, GWM conducted the ‘Go 1,000 More’ fuel economy run, a two-day challenge verified by the Automobile Association of the Philippines. The test involved diesel and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) models traveling from Laguna to Ilocos Norte. The GWM Cannon and Haval H9 both exceeded 1,000 kilometers on a single tank, while the Haval H7 Hi4 PHEV recorded a fuel efficiency of 15.73 km/L.
Simultaneously, GWM reached a milestone of 4,000 crash tests at its Safety Laboratory in Baoding, China. The Haval H7, which is scheduled for launch in Brazil, was used for the milestone test. The evaluation focused on structural integrity, safety system functionality, and the stability of fuel and high-voltage electrical systems during impact.
