Greek administrative service center modernizations

Overview

Greece has seen the inauguration of new administrative service centers aimed at modernizing public infrastructure and improving citizen access to services.

In Thessaloniki, the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) opened the Tax Procedures and Service Center (KEFODE) in Kalamaria. This center is designed to centralize tax procedures for Northern Greece and transition toward a digital-first administration by shifting local units toward providing guidance on digital tools.

In Athens, the municipality inaugurated a new Citizen Service Center (KEP) in the Neo Kosmos neighborhood. Housed in a municipal-owned building to reduce rental costs, the facility features modern technological equipment and full accessibility. This opening is part of a broader initiative to renovate and upgrade eight KEP locations within the city.
