Olympiacos signed 22-year-old Greek guard Nikos Plotas from Promitheas Patras on a five-year contract, reportedly featuring a 3+1+1 structure with annual earnings estimated at approximately one million euros. Plotas, who was named Best Young Player in the league, joins the Piraeus-based club following a season where he averaged 5.5 points per game. Olympiacos reportedly paid a buy-out fee to Promitheas to secure the player. Promitheas noted that Plotas had been with the club since age 13, having developed through their “NOUS” academy program.

Following the departure of Plotas, Promitheas BC announced the signing of 27-year-old guard Giorgos Kalaitzakis to bolster their perimeter defense. Kalaitzakis brings significant international experience, including stints in Lithuania with Nevėžis and Lietkabelis, in Germany with Tigers Tübingen, and in the NBA with the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Milwaukee Bucks organization. A former top scorer at the 2019 Eurobasket U20 tournament, Kalaitzakis also reunites with coach Giorgos Vovoras.

To further invest in their future, Promitheas BC signed 20-year-old Greek point guard Apostolos Nikolaidis on a four-year contract. Nikolaidis, who previously played for Lavrio and Panerythraikos, has experience in both the Stoiximan GBL and the Elite League. He developed through the Mantoulidis and Olympiacos youth academies and has represented Greece at the youth international level.
