Overview

Following wildfires that burned approximately 111,000 stremmata in western Attica and Boeotia, the Greek government established a fast-track, digitized compensation scheme. The Ministry described the distribution, occurring within 20 days of the fire period, as being completed in “record time.” Officials noted that field assessments were largely completed within the first ten days of August to facilitate these initial payments.
