GT racing events at Nürburgring

International motorsport returned to the Nürburgring circuit in Germany for the second half of the 2026 season, featuring competitions such as the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup and the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe.

In the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe, the series resumed following a summer break with a dominant performance by Kevin Gilardoni and Simone Iaquinta. Driving for DL Racing in a Lamborghini Huracán ST Evo2, the duo secured a double victory across Race 1 and Race 2 during the fourth round of the championship. This performance marked a successful debut for Iaquinta at the German circuit, where he also recorded the fastest lap of the weekend in the second race with a time of 2’00”536.

Following these wins, Iaquinta and Gilardoni have reclaimed the lead in the championship standings, holding a three-point advantage over their closest rivals. Other notable results from the weekend included wins for Renaud Kuppens and Jakub Knoll of Micanek Motorsport in the AM class, and Claude-Yves Gosselin of Rexal Villorba Corse in the Lamborghini Cup. In the Pro class, Benedetto Strignano and Nicholas Pujatti finished third.
