Guinness World Record for narrowest drivable car

Overview

Italian mechanic and enthusiast Andrea Marazzi has set a Guinness World Record for creating the world’s narrowest drivable car. The vehicle, named ‘Panda per Uno’ (Panda for one), is a heavily modified 1993 Fiat Panda.

To achieve a width of just 50.2 centimeters, Marazzi spent approximately one year performing technical modifications on a model found at his family’s scrapyard in Bagnolo Cremasco. The process involved dismantling the doors and side panels, cutting the chassis longitudinally in half, and hand-fabricating new exterior panels, a hood, a roof, a trunk, and windows.

The resulting vehicle is significantly narrower than other compact options, such as the Tango Hybrid Narrow Car at 99 centimeters or a Vespa Primavera 50 scooter at 73.5 centimeters. The modification reduced the original Fiat Panda’s factory width of 146 centimeters to approximately one-third of its original volume.
