In Besançon’s Planoise district, three men aged 19, 20, and 40 were seriously wounded by gunfire in front of a grocery store. Investigators noted the use of military-grade weapons, including a “7.62 caliber Kalashnikov and a shotgun.” While the victims have stabilized, no suspects have been arrested, and authorities are examining a burned vehicle in Montferrand-le-Château as a potential getaway car.
In Villeurbanne, a man was wounded in the Grandclément district near the site of a shooting that occurred five days prior. The Grandclément area has been designated a priority sector in the prefecture’s plan to combat narcotics trafficking, which includes an increased police presence.
