Gusau International Airport commercial development

Overview

The Zamfara State Government entered into an Air Route Development Partnership Agreement with XEJet Limited to launch scheduled commercial flights between Gusau International Airport and Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. The initiative, intended to boost economic growth and connectivity, was set to begin bi-weekly services in October.

Following this agreement, Gusau International Airport successfully passed the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) 17-step quality assurance and approval process for its Instrument Flight Procedures. This certification makes it the only Nigerian airport to complete all stages of this specific assessment, occurring ahead of the scheduled commencement of XEJet operations.
