The 5th season of the Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon officially opened with a focus on heritage and cultural promotion. Organized by the Hanoi People's Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Techcombank, the event launched the ‘Million Steps for a Healthy Vietnam’ campaign to promote public health and boost local tourism.

The 2025 season is estimated to generate an economic impact of approximately $13.7 million (over 350 billion VND) through the tourism, accommodation, and commercial service sectors.

The marathon concluded with over 14,500 athletes from 57 countries and territories competing in various distances, including the marathon, half-marathon, 10km, and 5km. The event saw record-breaking performances, notably in the women's marathon where Vietnamese athlete Pham Thi Hong Le set a new course record with a time of 02:50:41. In the men's 42km marathon, Huynh Anh Khoi secured first place, while Saeki Makino from Japan won the half-marathon category.
