Hanoi police fraud and asset misappropriation investigations

Overview

The Hanoi Police Investigation Agency has issued search decisions for multiple individuals involved in separate criminal investigations regarding fraud and the appropriation of property.

In late August, authorities sought Kim Thi Loan for fraudulent appropriation of property and Truong Nhu Khoi for the abuse of trust to appropriate property. Neither individual’s current location could be determined.

In early September, the agency issued further search decisions for Bui Thi Thuy, in connection with an incident of abusing trust to appropriate property in the Tay Ho district, and Do Truong Tam, who is being investigated for fraud and appropriation of property related to the Song Hong International Human Resources and General Trading Joint Stock Company. The whereabouts of both individuals remain unknown.
