Addressing psychological needs, the Ministry of Health and AgSUS have launched a telecare service to support women experiencing violence and caregivers of neurodivergent family members. Recent data from DataSenado and the Senate's Observatory on Violence against Women indicates that nearly 29 million Brazilian women experienced domestic or family violence in a 12-month period. The report highlights a significant gap in reporting: while 33% of women reported specific incidents, only 4% spontaneously identified as victims of domestic violence, and over 93% did not seek police protection.

In response, the Ministry of Health has expanded the ‘Acolhe Mais’ service, offering up to 100,000 monthly mental health teleconsultations via the Meu SUS Digital app. Complementary safety efforts include specialized tools from the ride-hailing platform 99 and educational initiatives by civil police to help women recognize psychological, moral, and patrimonial abuse.
