Health officials in Bangladesh and India have conducted inspections of regional hospitals to address infrastructure and supply issues. In Bangladesh, Health Minister Sardar Md Sakhaowat Hossain identified medicine shortages, specifically noting that the antibiotic Azithromycin had not been provided to patients for over a month despite being in stock. He announced plans to upgrade facilities and recruit tens of thousands of health workers. In India, West Bengal Health Minister Sharad Mukherjee inspected a hospital where a completed 100-bed unit remained unused, ordering its immediate activation.

Following subsequent inspections in Bangladesh, Minister Hossain announced initiatives to eliminate medical brokers who deceive patients into using private clinics, involving law enforcement agencies like the DGFI and RAB. The Minister also addressed a measles outbreak caused by gaps in vaccination coverage, announcing mop-up campaigns and a large-scale vaccination program for remote areas. Additionally, he directed officials to resolve sanitation issues at Sylhet hospitals and noted that mobile courts are being utilized to penalize illegal clinics and unauthorized practitioners.
