In the Buenaventura municipality, specifically in Ejido Benito Juárez, baseball-sized hail has caused damage to homes, crops, and vehicles, resulting in two injuries. Other regions, such as Casas Grandes, have experienced rising river levels.

Mayor Héctor Rafael Ortiz Orpinel has stated that municipal machinery is insufficient to address the damage, prompting a formal request for a state of emergency. While a brief pause in rain is expected over the weekend, meteorologists and officials warn that moisture from Hurricane Polo could bring continued heavy precipitation and atmospheric instability through Tuesday.
