Hellenic Cadastre digital expansion
Overview
The Hellenic Cadastre is expanding its digital property registry and management services across various Greek regional units.
In late August 2026, the Ioannina Regional Unit achieved full operational status within the digital system. This integration included the municipalities of Northern Tzoumerka, Dodoni, Zagori, Zitsa, Ioannina, Konitsa, Metsovo, and Pogoni, adding over 330,000 properties and 314,000 rights to the registry. The transition was designed to enhance legal security and reduce bureaucracy through services such as electronic notary acts and 24/7 digital certificate issuance.
By early September 2026, the cadastral mapping process was completed in Boeotia, Phocis, and Chalkidiki. This expansion incorporated approximately 878,000 properties and over one million rights into the permanent digital database. Deputy Minister of Digital Governance Christos Dermentzipoulos noted that the completion of these processes aims to create a modern national digital infrastructure to improve efficiency and transparency for citizens and professionals.
