Hellenic Police AI cybersecurity education initiative

Overview

The Hellenic Police Cybercrime Division has launched two AI digital assistants, ‘Michail’ and ‘Nemesis’, as part of an upgraded Digital Cyber Academy. Developed with the University of Crete, the academy incorporates Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality (VR), and Augmented Reality (AR) to provide immersive cybersecurity training.

‘Michail’ functions as an information agent to answer questions regarding digital threats and safe internet use, while ‘Nemesis’ monitors user decisions during interactive training to offer personalized learning. The initiative uses simulation and gamification to educate the public, particularly younger generations, on issues such as online fraud, data theft, cyberbullying, and the sexual exploitation of minors.
