Highway vehicle collisions in the United States

Overview

In early August, separate two-vehicle crashes in Missouri and Iowa resulted in injuries to several individuals. In Missouri, a driver failed to yield at a stop sign, causing a collision that injured four people, including two juveniles. In Iowa, a vehicle failed to yield while turning, injuring four occupants, including a five-year-old.

By late August, additional highway collisions in Minnesota and Missouri led to one fatality and multiple injuries. In Minnesota, a pickup truck rolled into a median, resulting in the death of a 42-year-old woman. In Missouri, two separate incidents occurred in Andrew County: a two-vehicle collision involving a Kia and a Ford, and a two-truck crash on Interstate 29 where a Freightliner struck a northbound International truck.
