Overview

The Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon, organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, is scheduled for October 11, 2026. Public registration for the event opened on August 20.

The event features two non-competitive scenic routes starting from the West Kowloon Cultural District: a 56 km ‘Five Tunnels, Three Bridges’ route, which will utilize the newly opened Central Kowloon Bypass for the first time, and a 32 km ‘Two Tunnels, Two Bridges’ route. More than 6,500 places are offered for these rides, which are designed to showcase the city’s skyline and Victoria Harbour scenery.

Competitive elements include the return of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Class 1.1 Road Race, featuring approximately 100 elite cyclists from 17 teams representing 11 countries and regions on a new 100 km course. A new World University Trophy will also be introduced for student cyclists from top-ranked global universities. The event will include a Cyclothon Carnival and supports social welfare organizations through charity proceeds.
