Hoppy Mobility e-scooter service in Rijeka
Overview
The city of Rijeka has reintroduced electric scooter services through a partnership with Hoppy Mobility, following the departure of the previous operator, Bolt.
The service aims to complement urban transport for short trips. To manage urban clutter and safety, the city has implemented 32 designated parking zones. Users are prohibited from leaving scooters on sidewalks or in front of building entrances and must upload a photo of the correctly parked scooter via a mobile application to complete their ride.
Initial rollout details included a one-euro unlock fee and a rate of 0.25 euros per minute, with a 50 percent discount offered during the first week. Subsequent updates noted promotional pricing featuring free unlocking and a rate of 0.10 EUR per minute, alongside various subscription options such as hourly, 24-hour, and weekly passes.
