House fires in New South Wales

Overview

A series of fires has caused property damage across various regions in New South Wales. In mid-October, blazes in Rutherford destroyed a house and garage, while two separate fires in the Shoalhaven region destroyed a home in Culburra Beach and a detached garage in Shoalhaven Heads.

By late October, authorities investigated two significant fires in Wagga Wagga. One incident on South Parade resulted in a home being totally destroyed, while a subsequent fire in Glenroi left a house “well alight” and caused “extensive damage.” While police established a crime scene in the Glenroi incident, they stated the fire was not being treated as suspicious.
