Humanitarian aid efforts in Indonesia

Overview

Humanitarian and social welfare initiatives have been deployed across various Indonesian regions to address localized crises and developmental needs.

In Langkat, emergency response teams distributed food supplies such as rice, eggs, and canned goods to villages in Besitang and Sei Lepan following floods that left water levels between 30 and 80 centimeters. Simultaneously, in Gorontalo, a pilot project was launched in Tabumela Village to combat stunting by providing milk to toddlers through a cross-sector government intervention.

Further aid efforts were reported in Batam, where 100 engines were provided to fishermen in the Belakangpadang District to improve mobility and catch efficiency. In Papua Pegunungan, the group Perempuan Indonesia Raya (PIRA) delivered food, clothing, and sleeping supplies to families in the Lanny Jaya Regency to assist those facing drought conditions.
