This incident follows a separate physical confrontation in July where Magyar was spat upon, prompting security experts to express concern regarding the potential escalation of aggression against public figures.

The period also saw developments regarding political commemorations. Following the postponement of the CÖF’s planned ‘Békemenet’ march for the 70th anniversary of the 1956 revolution, Magyar noted the event lacked public interest and funding. He has since announced that the anniversary will be commemorated at Kossuth Square in Budapest on October 23.
