HYPERyuki: Snowboard Syndicate development

Overview

Mexican developer Wabisabi Games has provided updates regarding the upcoming arcade-style snowboarding title, HYPERyuki: Snowboard Syndicate.

Initial reveals showcased gameplay footage featuring diverse environments such as ice caves and active volcanoes, alongside a stylized roster of characters including anime-inspired riders and fantastical entities. The game, designed as a tribute to extreme sports titles from the late 1990s and early 2000s, includes Challenge, Race, and Chill modes, with support for online and local split-screen multiplayer.

Subsequent announcements confirmed a 2027 release window and specified that the title will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2, in addition to PC via Steam and other consoles.

During a Nintendo Indie World Showcase, Wabisabi Games announced a collaboration with Acclaim for the project. The title is confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. To provide a preview ahead of the early 2027 launch, a free demo is expected to debut on Steam in November.
