Overview
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has announced several industry conferences scheduled for late 2026.
In September, IATA announced its 2026 Cargo Experts Conference (CEC) to be held in Budapest, Hungary. The event, themed ‘From Expertise to Execution’, will focus on digital cargo technologies, safety and security regarding dangerous goods, and pharmaceutical cargo operations.
Following this, IATA announced aviation safety events to be held in Istanbul, Turkey, in October 2026. These include the Turbulence Aware User Forum, which focuses on data-driven turbulence management, and the World Safety and Operations Conference (WSOC). The WSOC, themed ‘Performance Through People’, will address human factors in aviation safety, crisis management, and the role of artificial intelligence in risk management.
