id Software DOOM: The Dark Ages content update

Overview

id Software has announced ‘Slaughter Mode’, a free endless survival update for the Revelations DLC of DOOM: The Dark Ages. Scheduled for release in November, the mode will feature escalating waves of demons and bosses across randomized arenas.

Game Director Hugo Martin stated the single-player experience allows players to utilize combat tools from the expansion, such as the Chain Spear, to earn high scores and cosmetic rewards. Players can redeem skulls earned every ten rounds to unlock these cosmetics. The update is also expected to include weekly challenges to promote replayability.
