Idol bullying rumor cleared
Entities: Woni · former homeroom teacher · LISSENCE · Former middle‑school teacher (A) · RESCENE
Overview
In early August 2026, two separate online rumors targeted K‑pop idols named Woni. The first claim, posted on X, alleged that RESCENE member Woni had bullied classmates in middle school. A former homeroom teacher responded with graduation photos, signed memorabilia and a letter, describing her as an exemplary student and anti‑bullying activist. After the teacher’s detailed defense, the accuser deleted the post and the rumor faded.
Later the same day, a similar rumor surfaced about WONI of the girl group LISSENCE, accusing her of being a school delinquent. Another former teacher identified himself as “A” and posted letters, photos and messages confirming he taught her in grades 2‑3, again emphasizing her positive record. The accuser removed the post, and no agency comment followed. Both incidents illustrate a pattern of unfounded online accusations against idols being swiftly refuted by former teachers, leading to the removal of the allegations.
