In early August, Senator Imelda Castro began a series of visits to smaller municipalities in southern Sinaloa, including Escuinapa and Concordia. She used public assemblies to thank residents, stress unity, promote youth development, and highlight local tourism assets. The senator also referenced President Claudia Sheinbaum’s call to defend national sovereignty and warned against foreign interference in Mexico’s justice system.

A few days later, Castro shifted to larger urban centers, holding rallies in Culiacán and the Pericos district of Mocorito. She reaffirmed her commitment to the “movement of transformation” that has governed since 2018, urged continued support for President Sheinbaum, and announced a campaign against misinformation.

Expanding her tour, Castro—acting as a candidate for the coordination of the Defense of the Transformation Committees and National Sovereignty in Sinaloa—held informational assemblies in Guasave and Culiacán. In Guasave, she addressed an upcoming survey intended to select a leadership figure, stating that while the survey would define a leader, the entire movement constitutes the team. Throughout these events, she continued to emphasize the defense of Mexican sovereignty against domestic and international opposition and reiterated her invitation for supporters to attend President Sheinbaum's upcoming visit to Culiacán.
