Overview
Incheon Metropolitan City has filled a vacancy in the position of Administrative Vice Mayor that had been open for nearly four months following a resignation in early June.
Mayor Park Chan-dae appointed Kim Seong-jung, a veteran administrator with experience in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Presidential Office, and as Vice Governor of both Jeju and Gyeonggi provinces. Kim officially assumed office as the 24th Administrative Vice Mayor on September 28 to stabilize the city’s ninth popularly elected administration.
Alongside this appointment, Ji Yong-gu, a finance expert from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, was designated as the new Director of the Planning and Coordination Office to lead fiscal reforms and secure national funding.
