India-Denmark MSME and innovation cooperation

Overview

India and Denmark have engaged in bilateral discussions to strengthen cooperation in the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector, innovation, and intellectual property. During the fourth Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting held in Copenhagen, representatives from India’s Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and the Danish Patent and Trademark Office discussed advancing IP-led growth and technology adoption.

The engagement included studying Danish business cluster ecosystems through visits to the Aarhus University Innovation ‘Kitchen’ and the Agro Food Park. The Indian delegation also participated in the Nordic–India Startup Summit 2026 to explore industry–academia linkages, startup mentoring, and entrepreneurship models.
