India NBFC Q1 FY27 earnings

In late July 2026 two Indian non‑bank finance companies reported strong first‑quarter results for FY27. InCred Financial Services posted an 82 % jump in net profit to ₹172 crore, driven by a rapid expansion of its loan book to nearly ₹15 trn, tighter cost‑to‑income ratios and steady asset quality. The firm highlighted its AI‑enabled credit underwriting platform and, while preparing for an initial public offering, filed an updated prospectus with SEBI.

A day later IndoStar Capital Finance announced a 44 % increase in loan disbursements to ₹1,235 crore and a modest rise in assets under management. Net interest income grew 39 % and the cost of funds fell to 9.9 %. The company also expanded its branch network to 468 locations across 24 states and grew its micro‑LAP footprint. Both disclosures underscore a broader trend of Indian NBFCs scaling loan portfolios, improving operational efficiency and extending geographic reach during the quarter.
