He expressed concern regarding increasing screen time and drug abuse, urging teachers to promote physical sports and creative activities to protect the “childhood” of their students. He also stressed the importance of preserving a child's curiosity and creativity, noting that teachers must help identify the unique talents of every child, including those who may not excel academically.

Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi, along with Ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, interacted with award recipients, emphasizing the role of teachers in preparing students for ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’. In a separate ceremony, President Droupadi Murmu honored educators from higher education and polytechnic institutions with national awards, which included silver medals, certificates, and cash prizes of ₹50,000. These awards also recognized contributors to innovation, research, and skill development, including six educators from Madhya Pradesh.

Regional commemorations were widespread. In Jammu and Kashmir, 20 teachers and officials received awards, while in Himachal Pradesh, Governor Kavinder Gupta honored 32 teachers. In Telangana, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy addressed pending issues such as the PRC, salary hikes, and promotions, promising a phased resolution. In Meghalaya, Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui led district-level celebrations and addressed teacher eligibility requirements.
