Indian “Hamare Ram” theater campaign

On 1 August 2026, the Samrat Ashok Convention Centre’s Bapu Hall in Patna hosted the inaugural performance of the cultural production “Hamare Ram”. Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary lit the ceremonial lamp, offered flowers to a portrait of Lord Rama and Sita, and praised the show as a showcase of Indian cultural and moral values. Renowned actors Ashutosh Rana and Rahul Bhuachar led the stage rendition of rarely performed Ramayana episodes, drawing applause from officials, representatives and a large public audience.

A week later, on 8 August 2026, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann launched the first performance of the same play in Mohali, marking the start of a state‑wide cultural tour. The campaign will present 41 free performances across 12 Punjab cities during August and September, aiming to convey the timeless teachings of Lord Ram—truth, duty, compassion and unity—and to reinforce traditional values of Sanatan Dharma.

Both events are part of a coordinated effort by state governments to use the “Hamare Ram” theatre production as a vehicle for cultural education and heritage promotion across northern India.
