The remaining ₹9,450 crore of the approved budget is allocated to four railway multi-tracking projects: the Kharagpur-Bhadrak fourth line, the Bhadrak-Haridaspur fourth line, the Gummidipundi-Gudur third and fourth line, and the Cuttack-Paradip third and fourth line. These expansions, part of the PM-Gati Shakti National Master Plan, aim to reduce congestion and increase capacity by an estimated 13 million tons of freight. Spanning West Bengal, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh, these railway projects are expected to impact approximately 6,448 villages.
