Indianapolis Colts roster moves regarding Darius Slayton
Overview
In late September 2026, the Indianapolis Colts signed veteran wide receiver Darius Slayton to address depth issues caused by an injury to Alec Pierce. Slayton, who previously played seven seasons with the New York Giants, was brought in to provide a downfield threat.
By mid-October, the Colts released Slayton after he failed to appear in a game for the franchise. While he was signed to mitigate Pierce’s absence, Slayton remained a healthy scratch during Weeks 3 and 4, and a knee injury sustained during practice subsequently hindered a potential debut in Week 5.
