Indonesia Stock Exchange market developments

The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) has introduced new initiatives and reported market activity to strengthen the national capital market.

On August 27, 2026, the BEI launched the ‘IDX Green Equity Designation’ to support the sustainable finance ecosystem. This program identifies companies contributing to a low-carbon economy through specific categories. In its first phase, PT Hero Global Investment Tbk and PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk received ‘Green Equity’ status, while PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk was designated as ‘Green Equity Transition.’ Qualifications are determined by independent reviews from providers such as S&P Global Ratings and PT SUCOFINDO (Persero).

By August 29, 2026, the exchange reported a growing IPO pipeline consisting of seven companies across the healthcare, consumer non-cyclical, energy, and industrial sectors. As of late August, seven companies had completed IPOs in 2026, raising Rp2.16 trillion and bringing the total number of listed companies to 963. Additionally, officials noted that several large state-owned enterprises, including Pegadaian and PT Pupuk Indonesia, are potential candidates for future listings.
