The technology produces RDF with a calorific value exceeding 3,500 kcal/kg, intended to serve as an alternative energy source for industrial co-firing alongside coal.

In Central Java, the provincial government has implemented a tiered waste management strategy that earned the ASRI award for environmental management. For large-scale waste production exceeding 1,000 tons daily, the province utilizes a regional agglomeration model to convert waste into electricity (PSEL). For smaller volumes between 100 and 200 tons per day, the province employs RDF technology to provide fuel for cement factories in several regencies, including Cilacap, Banyumas, Kudus, Magelang, and Kebumen.
