Indonesian national sports championships

Overview

Various national sports championships are being held in Jakarta to facilitate athlete development and preparation for future competitions.

In early October, the Menpora Cup 2026 national bowling championship commenced at the Jaya Ancol Bowling Center. Officials stated the event aims to identify potential bowlers for international representation and serves as a metric for evaluating training results within the national framework.

Later in the month, the Pengurus Besar Persatuan Gateball Seluruh Indonesia (PB Pergatsi) hosted the final round of the 2026 National Gateball Championship at the National Sports Hospital field. The tournament involved approximately 747 athletes across eleven categories and served as a platform for evaluating training programs in preparation for the 2028 National Sports Week (PON).
