Indonesian regional transfer fund developments
Overview
The Association of All Indonesian Regency DPRD (ADKASI) has expressed support for a planned Rp42 trillion increase in the Regional Transfer Fund (TKD) for 2027. This adjustment is expected to bring the total projected TKD to Rp735 trillion.
The proposed increase follows a period of fiscal tightening in 2026, during which the government reduced the TKD to Rp693 trillion. ADKASI Chairman Siswanto noted that previous budget cuts had hindered regional development, specifically regarding infrastructure in areas with limited fiscal capacity. The upcoming increase is intended to assist 546 regions, including provinces, regencies, and cities, in strengthening public services and development capabilities.
