Influenza vaccine rollouts in Vietnam

Overview

The VNVC Vaccination System has introduced new influenza vaccine options in Vietnam targeting different age demographics.

On October 28, 2026, AstraZeneca launched a needle-free nasal spray vaccine for children and adolescents aged 2 to under 18. This live attenuated vaccine is designed to provide “three-layer immunity” and aims to reduce stress for patients with needle phobia.

Following this, on October 30, 2026, VNVC and Sanofi introduced a specialized vaccine for individuals aged 60 and older. This version utilizes virus fragmentation technology and contains an antigen content four times higher than standard doses to better stimulate immune responses in elderly populations.
