Quang Tri province is pursuing various infrastructure and logistics development initiatives. Initially, the Pacific Construction Group from China proposed several major projects, including a 26 trillion VND upgrade of National Highway 12A to a four-lane highway via a public-private partnership. This proposal also included irrigation, flood management, and coastal protection projects such as erosion control at Bao Ninh beach.

Subsequently, provincial authorities have focused on strengthening east-west logistics corridors by prioritizing the expansion of National Highways 15D, 9, and 12A. Specific funding has been allocated to upgrade National Highway 15D to reduce travel distances. Parallel to transport upgrades, the province is also developing railway tourism, specifically targeting improvements to road connections for the ‘Hue - Phong Nha: World Heritage Journey’ by December 2026.
