Overview
Preliminary official results for the Ingolstadt city council elections have been announced by election official Dirk Müller. Voter turnout was recorded at 47.0%, an increase from the 45.76% recorded in 2020.
The CSU (Christian Social Union) increased its support from 26.8% in 2020 to 30.3%, securing 15 seats. The AfD (Alternative for Germany) also saw significant growth, rising from 7.6% to 16% and earning 8 seats.
Other party distributions include the SPD with 14.8% (7 seats), the Greens with 12.9% (6 seats), the FW with 9.1% (5 seats), Die Linke with 5.4% (3 seats), the FDP with 4.2% (2 seats), the UWG with 4.2% (2 seats), and the ÖDP with 3.2% (2 seats).
The election committee is scheduled to formally establish the final results on Friday, March 27, following a review of candidate eligibility.
