International delegations visiting Tibetan leadership

Overview

Various international delegations have traveled to Dharamsala, India, to engage with the Dalai Lama and the Central Tibetan Administration.

A bipartisan United States Congressional delegation, led by House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast, visited the region to reaffirm Washington’s support for the Tibetan community. Following high-level strategic meetings in New Delhi regarding India-US defense cooperation, the delegation met with the Dalai Lama to gain a deeper understanding of the Tibet issue.

An Australian-Chinese delegation also conducted a visit to engage with Tibetan leadership. This group participated in the 67th anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising Day and held a private audience with the Dalai Lama. Their activities included meetings with the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile and an art exhibition focused on censorship and human rights in China.
