Investigation into death of businessman Octavio Haro

Overview

Octavio Haro, a 43-year-old real estate businessman and influencer, was reported missing on August 11 after being last seen driving near the Diana Natura Residencial area in Zapopan. His body was discovered on August 19 in a clearing in the La Venta del Astillero neighborhood, while his vehicle was located approximately three kilometers away.

Following forensic studies, the Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that Haro’s cause of death was a traumatic brain injury and is investigating the death as a deliberate crime. Authorities have stated that the disappearance and death appear linked to personal activities rather than his professional work.

Special prosecutor Blanca Trujillo Cuevas indicated that investigators are intensifying intelligence gathering with the goal of requesting arrest warrants to judicialize the case. Officials have maintained that this incident is not connected to the disappearances of other real estate entrepreneurs in the state.
